HR Intern - Part Time

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying, screening, and selecting candidates for open positions.
• Post job openings across job boards and company platforms.
• Review applications and screen resumes for candidate qualification.
• Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communication.
• Support background checks, reference checks, and preparation of offer and notification letters.
• Assist with new-hire orientation and benefits enrollment.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files.
• Organize and maintain HR shared files and resources.
• Support new hire onboarding and employee training initiatives.
• Support internal engagement initiatives, including events and recognition efforts.
• Learn and assist in goal setting, performance documentation, and feedback processes.
• Respond to general employee questions related to HR policies and benefits.
• Gain exposure to disciplinary processes and termination procedures.
• Assist in benefits administration.
• Learn and support processes related to workers’ compensation, unemployment, OSHA, and broader HR compliance requirements.
• Maintain employee records, support HRIS updates, and assist with administrative tasks.
• Assist with administrative responsibilities such as phone coverage, supply management, and reception support.
• Participate in HR meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently a senior pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related coursework.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Reliable transportation to Crane CryoWorks in Jurupa Valley, CA.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Interest in relocating outside of California for future opportunities within Crane preferred.

Pay

Hourly Range: $23 to $26. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
