HR Intern
Job Summary
The Levy Internship Program is a paid fall internship that seeks diverse undergraduate and graduate college students with high academic standing at elite institutions. Levy Interns contribute to the complex food service and hospitality industry workforce; learn from leading executives, managers, and network with industry professionals.
This internship will be compensated an hourly rate paid bi-weekly. College credit towards a major, minor, or general elective may be earned. Hours may vary from week to week depending on event schedule. This position will run tentatively from August 1st through mid-December, with potential for an extension.
Responsibilities
- Effectively communicates the Levy culture to current and potential employees
- Administers company recognition systems
- Scouts, recruits, and successfully onboard and retain not-for-profit partners following the guidelines set forth by Levy's NPO Guidelines and tracks all certifications and licenses.
- Interviews, hires, trains, and develops team members according to Levy guidelines
- Processes all new hire documentation to ensure accuracy
- Executes Levy Creating Legends classes and new hire orientation according to standard
- Maintains and audits all team member employment files to ensure all Core Signature standards are maintained including food handlers permits, ABLE licenses, and Levy's required trainings.
- Supports team member retention and recruiting programs
- Participates in regular scheduled meetings to ensure lines of communication are open between management and team members
- Displays a positive attitude towards team members
- Has strong attention to detail
- Supports and communicates Company initiatives
- Responds and assists in any departmental guest service issues
- Ensures that all security, safety, and sanitation standards are achieved
- Follows and enforces responsible alcohol service policies
- Performs other duties as assigned
