HR Generalist / Recruiter

About the role

HR Generalist / Recruiter position at Race Winning Brands (RWB), full‑time, onsite, splitting time between the Mentor and Berea, Ohio facilities. You will support the full employee lifecycle, from recruiting and onboarding to employee relations, HR administration, and culture‑building initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Recruit great talent: manage the full hiring process for production, skilled trades, and professional roles – write job postings, source candidates, screen, schedule interviews, and assist hiring managers in selection.
• Make a strong first impression: assist with onboarding so new hires feel welcome and ready from Day 1.
• Be a go‑to HR partner: answer employee questions, support managers, and help with employee relations when issues arise.
• Keep things running smoothly: maintain HR records, support benefits and leave administration, and help maintain compliance.
• Help build the culture: contribute to engagement, retention, and events that make RWB a great place to work.

Requirements

• 2+ years of HR generalist and/or recruiting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience hiring for both hourly and salaried roles.
• Working knowledge of HR practices and employment law.
• Comfort with an HRIS/ATS and Microsoft Office.
• Strong people skills: ability to build trust on the shop floor and in the front office.
• Organized, dependable, and able to juggle priorities across two locations.
• Curiosity and drive to keep growing; SHRM‑CP or PHR certification is a plus or something you’re working toward.
