Responsibilities
- Research job requirements and evaluate job positions in collaboration with Management and HR Director.
- Manage full-cycle talent acquisition and recruitment processes for all positions, including:
- Posting positions and conducting interviews.
- Assisting managers with the hiring process.
- Perform a wide range of HR tasks, including:
- Assisting with onboarding and organizing trainings.
- Managing employee benefits and ensuring compliance with HR regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date and confidential employee records using Human Resources Information Systems.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal legislation affecting personnel management, including Louisiana statutory regulations.
- Undertake performance management tasks and assist the Director of HR in coordinating annual employee performance reviews, job descriptions, and trainings.
- Complete verifications for candidates and new hires.
- Consult with department managers, directors, and leaders to understand requirements, duties, and qualifications for vacant positions and project staffing needs.
- Plan and execute recruiting programs based on clinic needs, allocating resources for advertising, job fairs, and college recruiting.
- Develop and place advertisements in newspapers and professional journals for clinical and non-clinical professionals.
- Select and collaborate with agencies for candidate interviews and preliminary screening.
- Organize and attend job fairs, arrange on-campus events with colleges and nursing schools, and facilitate clinic tours for candidates.
- Review resumes, conduct interviews, verify academic records and work experience, and arrange interviews with nursing directors or supervisors.
- Establish and maintain professional contacts in the clinical and nursing community through associations and participation.
- Collect and analyze data on market salaries, candidate availability, and demand to inform recruitment strategies.
- Screen candidates, check references and credentials, and connect qualified candidates with hiring managers.
- Assist candidates throughout the interview and hiring process, follow up with hiring managers, and gather feedback for unsuccessful placements.
- Arrange meeting locations, travel, and accommodations for applicants and company managers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.
- Coordinate efforts with the Human Resources Director and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least five years of human resources experience in a clinical setting recruiting or related role.
- Knowledge of clinical and nursing specialties, opportunities, and qualifications.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with aptitude in conducting interviews.
- Willingness to travel within clinics and to job fairs.
- Thorough understanding of EEO, ADA, and other employment laws and guidelines.
- Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods as they pertain to compensation.
- Extensive knowledge of human resource recruitment processes, laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software; ADP software knowledge preferred.
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist with a full understanding of general HR policies and procedures.
- Good knowledge of employment and labor laws.
- Outstanding knowledge of ADP systems.
- Aptitude in problem-solving and desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.
- Additional HR training will be a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
