HR Generalist II
About the role
This high-impact HR Generalist position is fully onsite at our Main Campus, providing strategic and day-to-day HR support to approximately 1,000 clinical and operational caregivers for Main Campus. This role will report directly to the HR Director.
Responsibilities
- Act as a confidential advisor on performance management, corrective actions, performance improvement plans, right of reviews and investigations.
- Interpret and advise on policies and programs encompassing all aspects of Human Resource Management to all levels of caregivers.
- Conduct employee investigations and make recommendations to business leaders.
- Provide support in communicating human resources center of excellence (COE) programs and their implementation to all employees.
- Counsel client groups and facilitate conflict resolutions.
- Support regulatory practices to promote fair and equitable treatment of employees.
- Determine development needs of specific segments of the organization and may provide developmental training.
- Support workforce planning to include partnering with talent acquisition and compensation to review requests such as promotions, equity reviews and job reclassifications and providing recommendations to leadership.
- Monitor compliance with organizational initiatives (e.g., compliance modules, flu, engagement, etc.).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field
- Five years of progressive HR experience OR an associate degree and an additional two years of related experience, including project management experience
- A High School Diploma/GED and an additional four years of related experience, including project management experience
- Knowledge of employment and labor laws (EEO, FLSA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, NLRA, etc.)
- Strong critical thinking, relationship building, communication, group facilitation and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Qualifications
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)
Skills
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system and, in some locations, off-site.
- Ability to operate computer and other office equipment.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). Pay
Minimum Annual Salary: $63,250.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $96,467.50
Schedule
Works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on-site at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus.
