About the role
We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Tacoma, Washington. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to various human resources functions, including recruitment, payroll coordination, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, detail-oriented, and skilled in managing HR processes with a proactive approach.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for non-executive positions, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
- Develop and deliver engaging presentations using PowerPoint, showcasing attention to detail and adaptability.
- Monitor payroll activities managed by the parent company, addressing errors and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Oversee workers' compensation claims, including follow-ups and proactive claim management.
- Collaborate with teams to cascade organizational goals effectively and maintain alignment with company objectives.
- Handle employee relations matters, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Support onboarding initiatives to ensure smooth integration of new hires into the organization.
- Assist with maintaining HR documentation and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to safety programs by managing claims and promoting workplace safety practices.
- Utilize HRIS systems to maintain accurate records and streamline HR processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in corporate recruiting, particularly for non-executive roles.
- Proficiency in using PowerPoint to create detailed and engaging presentations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to dynamic situations.
- Familiarity with workers' compensation laws and procedures.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and their application in HR administration.
- Experience in managing payroll coordination and resolving discrepancies.
- Ability to develop and implement department-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Background in employee relations and benefit functions.
