About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Tacoma, Washington. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to various human resources functions, including recruitment, payroll coordination, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, detail-oriented, and skilled in managing HR processes with a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for non-executive positions, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
  • Develop and deliver engaging presentations using PowerPoint, showcasing attention to detail and adaptability.
  • Monitor payroll activities managed by the parent company, addressing errors and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Oversee workers' compensation claims, including follow-ups and proactive claim management.
  • Collaborate with teams to cascade organizational goals effectively and maintain alignment with company objectives.
  • Handle employee relations matters, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Support onboarding initiatives to ensure smooth integration of new hires into the organization.
  • Assist with maintaining HR documentation and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to safety programs by managing claims and promoting workplace safety practices.
  • Utilize HRIS systems to maintain accurate records and streamline HR processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in corporate recruiting, particularly for non-executive roles.
  • Proficiency in using PowerPoint to create detailed and engaging presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to dynamic situations.
  • Familiarity with workers' compensation laws and procedures.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems and their application in HR administration.
  • Experience in managing payroll coordination and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ability to develop and implement department-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Background in employee relations and benefit functions.
