HR Generalist
About the role
Glean is seeking an HR Generalist to support and strengthen our people operations as we continue to scale. This role will be a hands-on partner across the employee lifecycle, helping drive a consistent, thoughtful employee experience while ensuring strong operational execution.
Responsibilities
- Support employees and managers across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, role changes, offboarding, benefits questions, leave administration, and policy interpretation.
- Partner closely with our HRBPs and the broader People team to help cover a wide range of HR needs across business partnering, operations, benefits, immigration, and employee relations.
- Help manage and improve core people operations processes and documentation, ensuring workflows are clear, compliant, scalable, and employee-friendly.
- Support benefits administration, employee communications, and HR systems hygiene, and coordinate effectively with external vendors and internal partners as needed.
- Partner cross-functionally with payroll, finance, legal, and people operations stakeholders to ensure accurate execution of programs and compliance with internal policies and employment requirements.
- Support immigration-related processes and help employees navigate applicable documentation and coordination steps.
- Contribute to building a high-quality employee experience by identifying process gaps, recommending improvements, and helping implement more scalable HR practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field
- 2+ years of relevant HR experience
- Broad HR Generalist experience across people operations, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and support
- Possesses solid judgment, discretion, and empathy to handle sensitive employee matters
- Operational skills including benefits administration knowledge, HR systems experience for process consistency and scalability
Qualifications
- Proficient familiarity with immigration support

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience with HRIS and benefits administration software
- Knowledge of employment law and regulations

Pay
The standard base salary range for this position is $134,000 - $154,000 annually. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
Schedule
This role is hybrid (4 days a week in our Mountain View or San Francisco office).
