About the Role
The Human Resources Coordinator at Ampact plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s HR functions through administrative and operational tasks. This position is responsible for managing HR processes, maintaining accurate employee records, and administering benefits programs, including AmeriCorps member benefits. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills who can ensure compliance with employment regulations and facilitate smooth HR operations. As a remote position, the candidate must reside in one of the states where Ampact operates, including California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, New York, Wisconsin, Virginia, or Maryland.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, Benefits Administration, HR Operations, or related administrative support.
- Experience with HRIS systems, preferably UKG.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and data validation.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary administrator for designated UKG HRIS processes and transactions, including onboarding, promotions, compensation adjustments, and terminations.
- Prepare and process employment documentation such as status changes, change memos, employment verifications, and separation paperwork.
- Maintain electronic personnel files and HR records within UKG, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Troubleshoot HRIS-related issues for employees and managers, assisting with testing and implementing new system functionalities.
- Regularly audit HRIS records to ensure data consistency and accuracy across systems.
- Reconcile HR, payroll, and benefits data to identify discrepancies and coordinate corrections with relevant departments and vendors.
- Coordinate benefits administration for AmeriCorps members, including eligibility, enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Respond to benefits-related inquiries received via department email and maintain an electronic library of benefit resources.
- Support compliance activities by responding to documentation requests for audits and ensuring timely completion of I-9 and E-Verify processes.
- Monitor employee compliance requirements, including policy acknowledgments and training records.
- Assist with year-end reporting and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Maintain employee records across various organizational systems and support other HR functions as needed.
