Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator manages the daily operations and administrative tasks of the Arlington plant. They handle recruiting support, new hire onboarding, employee record maintenance, benefits coordination, and compliance tracking, acting as the main point of contact for personnel questions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare offer letters, run new hire orientations, collect required tax forms, and process exit paperwork
  • Update personnel files and submit employee status changes to the payroll department
  • Answer benefit and retirement plan questions, guide open enrollment, and assist with vendor billing reconciliation
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee policy questions and day-to-day requests
  • Track mandatory training, assist with internal audits, and generate basic workforce reports
  • Prepare materials and help organize employee performance reviews; present any new or additional training materials to employees
  • Foster positive employee relations and work to solve any employee issues that surface
  • Ensure all employee records are filed correctly and kept confidential
  • Abide by company-enforced HR processes and current employment laws and regulations
  • Under the leadership of the HR Manager, be a vital source of human resources information
  • Answer staff questions and write professional emails
  • Hear employee concerns with empathy and discretion
  • Schedule candidate interviews and assist with onboarding
  • Treat internal employees as valued clients
  • Juggle recruitment tracking, training schedules, and meetings simultaneously
  • Manage calendars, performance review timelines, and orientation sessions
  • Learn new office or remote collaboration tools quickly
  • Troubleshoot unexpected daily workplace issues
  • Use HRIS software such as Workday, BambooHR, or Rippling for data entry; Ceridian Dayforce a plus
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical personnel files while adhering to privacy rules
  • Process timekeeping, leave balances, and insurance paperwork
  • Understand basic labor laws such as I-9 verification, FMLA, or local ordinances

Environment

  • Exposure to moving equipment
  • Office environment with noise levels that may exceed 85 dB
  • Personal Protective Equipment required

Physical Characteristics

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1–3 years of related human resources experience
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
