About the Role
This position provides support across various human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, record-keeping, payroll verification, and compliance with employment regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the recruitment process, including preparing position requisitions, coordinating employment advertising, and conducting background checks.
- Maintain applicant flow data for Affirmative Action (AA) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) reporting.
- Conduct new hire orientations to ensure completion of required forms (e.g., W-4, state tax forms, I-9).
- Assist employees with preparation and submission of personnel-related forms as needed.
- Maintain and file all personnel records accurately.
- Verify payroll information and communicate changes.
- Track and record employees’ time, including sick/vacation days and personal holidays.
- Submit personnel changes via action forms, including pay rate adjustments, job title changes, account code updates, bonuses, incentives, and leaves of absence.
- Assist with workers’ compensation administration, including injury reports, OSHA/regulatory logs, and tracking lost/modified duty time for injured employees.
- Support safety functions, such as coordinating drug testing, collaborating with clinics, attending safety meetings, and preparing monthly safety materials.
- Assist with employee programs, including tuition assistance, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), employee relations projects, company social events, and charitable campaigns.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 6–12 months of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
