HR Coordinator
About the role
The HR Coordinator supports the client's team by managing employee files, conducting new hire processes like I-9s, assisting with terminations, audits, and unemployment claims, processing paperwork, and ensuring compliance across HR functions. They also handle pre-boarding, onboarding, and offboarding processes, draft and manage employee communications, and provide administrative support for HR-related documentation and record-keeping.
Responsibilities
- Support employee files, including new hire processes such as I-9s, onboarding and hiring workflows, and related documentation
- Aid with employee terminations, audits, and unemployment claims
- Process paperwork and ensure compliance across HR functions
- Support pre-boarding, onboarding, and offboarding processes
- Draft and manage employee communications and letters
- Handle high-level HR processes with a strong task-oriented approach
- Work with HR systems such as Kronos, UKG, and UltiPro; Workday experience is a strong plus due to an upcoming implementation
Requirements
- 2+ years of HR administrative or HR assistant experience
- Strong understanding of full cycle HR processes, terminology, and compliance
- Experience handling high-volume HR support across multiple locations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Kronos/UKG/UltiPro experience desired; Workday experience a strong plus
- Adaptable to various HR environments; industry experience is open
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Excellent written communication skills, including drafting employee letters and communications
- Ability to hit the ground running and quickly adapt to new processes
- Reliable, customer-service oriented, and a strong team player
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Experience with EDD processes a plus

Pay & Schedule
The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $28.00 – $30.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. The employment type is Temporary, ~6 months, and the FLSA status is Non-Exempt. The schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
