About the role
American Security Force is seeking a sharp HR Compliance Supervisor to oversee workforce compliance, employee relations, performance management, HR investigations, and audits.
Responsibilities
- Create, update, and check policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support on current and future HR laws and regulations.
- Administer counseling forms to employees for not clocking in/out, taking lunches/breaks on time, or not wearing proper PPE/uniform as required by post orders or client requests.
- Lead HR investigations for workplace issues, ensuring confidentiality, impartiality, and thorough documentation.
- Conduct regular internal HR audits to assess compliance with statutory and internal policies.
- Identify and resolve any violations of HR laws and regulations.
- Oversee reference checks for pre-employment purposes.
- Conduct training sessions on compliance issues to educate employees as needed.
- Keep detailed records of compliance activities and employee security training.
- Draft and issue disciplinary actions, ensuring fairness and consistency.
- Commute to client sites as needed to conduct employee counseling.
- Conduct site inspections to assess the effectiveness of security measures.
- Assist in new hire orientations.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of strong HR generalist, people operations, employee relations, or compliance-related experience.
- At least a year of specific leadership experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or five (5) years of verifiable work experience.
- Previous experience in the security industry is a plus.
- Must have a valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to commute to different sites as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
- Ability to handle confidentiality with professionalism.
Pay
$25 to $28/hr. DOE
Schedule
Full Time (8:30am-5pm)
