HR Business Partner I
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) reports to the Director, HRBP and is responsible for consultation at all levels related to staffing, performance management, compensation, employee relations, organizational design/development and training, client relationship and project management. The HRBP will manage Human Resource programs that support business objectives and provide input on the strategic direction of the group. The role is based out of Orlando, Florida and does not offer remote options.
ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS/DUTIES
Employee Relations
- Address employee relations issues of high complexity, which may include issue resolution, employee and management counselling, and performance improvement, as needed
- Partner with the Employee Relations team, as needed, to address complex issues
- Conduct exit interviews and handle terminations, including approvals and notifications
- Coordinate reductions-in-force and efficiency exercises, including communication plans, severance packages, etc.
Performance Management
- Supports the deployment of the annual performance management process, including goal setting and ratings calibration
- Facilitate calibration meetings and develop action plans for managers
- Coach managers on corrective action processes
Organizational Design, Development & Change Management
- Partners with the Organizational Design & Talent Management team to meet development/training needs and create a development roadmap
- Communicate and coach for change in a complex environment
- Develop retention/engagement strategies for the client population
- Support internal communications for function-specific communications
Client Relationship Management and Project Leadership
- Act as a go-to resource for clients; impacts client decisions through influence and expertise
- Represent the Corporate groups in HR COE planning sessions and initiatives, as assigned
- Manage projects or participate in multi-function HR initiatives, as requested/directed
Staffing & Talent Management
- Understand talent capabilities and gaps for client populations
- Partner with leaders to clarify staffing needs and support appropriate talent acquisition strategy
- Manage headcount requests and approval processes
Compensation & Incentives
- Partner with Compensation and business leaders to ensure adequate understanding and execution of rewards processes
- Update/create enhanced rewards programs in alignment with functional goals
- Deploy the annual rewards process, including merits, bonuses, recognition, and stock option grants

Technical skills:
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably Workday

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent degree required
- 3+ years of experience in Human Capital/Human Resources or related field required—HR Business Partner or generalist experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated strong employee relations experience and working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation/pay practices, US employment law, performance measures, change leadership, and labor relations
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, including proven ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Results-driven with the proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make decisions in difficult situations
- PHR, SPHR, GPHR preferred
