About the role

Chipotle’s HR Business Partner (HRBP) will partner with business leaders in our restaurant support centers (RSC) to deliver people processes and develop people strategies that support Chipotle’s strategic priorities. Providing thought partnership, coaching, and recommendations, the HRBP will help functional leaders cultivate work environments consistent with our purpose and values. This role uses HR principles and employment laws to support all elements of the talent lifecycle and identify practical solutions for business challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with RSC client-group leadership to develop and execute people strategies that drive company and functional priorities, using talent insights, culture programs, reporting, analytics, and employee feedback.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to client-group leaders on every phase of the talent lifecycle: onboarding, development, engagement, performance, and talent management.
  • Act as a change agent to lead teams through organizational change.
  • Drive HR initiatives (succession planning, talent calibrations, compensation cycles) and provide feedback to Centers of Excellence to ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Proactively identify and resolve employee concerns in a timely manner.
  • Interpret and apply Chipotle policies, employment law, and regulations to advise on employee-relations inquiries; conduct timely investigations and recommend appropriate action in partnership with stakeholders, including Legal.
  • Collaborate with RSC leadership and the broader HR team to build a unified culture that reflects Chipotle’s values.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Development, Compensation, Talent Management) to develop solutions that meet client-group needs and align with company values.
  • Travel four times per year, or as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or equivalent role.
  • Experience working as an HRBP with corporate functions preferred.
  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) and/or SHRM-CP certifications preferred.
  • General knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, influencing, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and use sound judgment to make decisions.
  • Intermediate-level experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using Workday.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $99,000–$139,500. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based on performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and education.
