About the role
We are actively hiring for the position of HR Assistant / Front Desk Coordinator for our plant in Arlington, TX.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Pay
$18.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Welcome applicants, employees, vendors, and visitors; determine needs and notify appropriate contacts.
- Answer routine applicant, visitor, and employee questions; escalate complex matters as needed.
- Maintain confidential electronic personnel files and HR records, including I-9s, personnel actions, onboarding, medical, and termination documents.
- Support recruiting and onboarding, including candidate communication, background-screen requests, new-hire materials, documentation, filing, and data entry.
- Coordinate assigned employee training, including scheduling, communication, tracking, and recordkeeping.
- Prepare the monthly site newsletter and support employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and site events.
- Run and distribute assigned HR reports, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support employee-relations investigations by taking notes, coordinating attendance, and directing employees to meetings as requested.
- Maintain HR storage areas, monitor inventory, issue approved supplies, and update related records.
- Provide administrative support for HR projects, audits, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred.
- At least one year of administrative, human resources, customer service, clerical, or receptionist experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees, applicants, visitors, and vendors.
- Experience using ADP or a comparable HRIS preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience using SharePoint preferred.
- Strong organizational, recordkeeping, time-management, and follow-through skills with close attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional, service-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, recognize when a matter requires escalation, and meet established deadlines.
