About the Role
AAR is a leading provider of aviation services to the worldwide commercial aerospace and government/defense industries. This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 6-9 months, providing Human Resources support during AAR's expansion.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee personnel files, both electronic and physical.
- Scan, upload, organize, and maintain employee documents in the appropriate HR systems and electronic folders.
- Ensure employee documentation is complete, properly filed, and easily accessible.
- Assist with onboarding and new hire documentation, including collecting and reviewing required paperwork.
- Assist HR with employee file audits and ensure required documentation is maintained.
- Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, and tracking reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Use Excel to organize, analyze, and track HR information, including employee data, attendance, turnover, hiring, promotions, compensation, and other HR metrics.
- Create and maintain Excel trackers and spreadsheets for HR projects and employee-related activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and follow company policies regarding sensitive information.
- Support the HR team with onboarding, offboarding, employee communications, and general HR administration.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team and assist with special projects as needed.
- Comply with all AAR Aircraft Services – Miami policies and procedures.
- Keep informed of such policies and procedures and ask for clarification when needed.
- Take prudent actions to preserve Company and/or customer assets, whether monetary or otherwise.
- Attend work-related training as scheduled.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of HR or other management.
Requirements
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in standard English and Spanish.
- Able to interface in a professional and pleasant manner with employees at all levels and with customers as required.
- Able to handle multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize effectively.
Qualifications
- College education preferred, with emphasis in Business Administration or Human Resources.
- High school education required.
- Minimum one to three years’ experience in Human Resources.
Physical Requirements
- Able to move around the hangar as required.
- Able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods using computers, talking with employees and visitors, and doing close work.
Schedule
Full-time, non-exempt position.
