HQF - Custodian 1, Bishop's Central Storehouse, - Part Time Evening Shifts

About the role

We care for and maintain headquarters facilities and support resiliency and events to create a place where the Spirit may reside and the work of salvation and exaltation can be accomplished. Our professional teams eliminate distractions to provide environments where the Spirit can be felt, maintaining the splendor and cleanliness of the buildings at Church Headquarters.

You’ll work in a wholesome environment with temple-worthy coworkers, with shifts started with prayer. Various shifts are available to accommodate your schedule, and there are opportunities to expand your professional network within Church employment. Responsibilities

• Sanitize public areas, offices, and restrooms, daily or as instructed
• Dust or polish furnishings, light fixtures, windowsills, wood paneling, etc.
• Spot clean carpets, rugs, and upholstery
• Restock supplies, remove leaves or snow, and dispose of trash, waste, and other materials
• Attend meetings and trainings to increase your knowledge and abilities
• Operate mechanized cleaning equipment, vacuums, buffers, large scrubbers and sweepers, and extraction equipment (training provided)
• Perform emergency cleanups including floods, bodily fluids, and spills
• Report safety or security issues and needed repairs

Requirements

• Ability to independently lift and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, twist, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods
• Complete vital tasks and handle basic issues professionally
• Work alone without constant supervision but also strengthen teams
• Comply with regulations for the safe handling of cleaning solvents and chemicals
• Work in damp, dusty, and/or dirty areas
• Read, comprehend, and communicate in English for training, security, and safety purposes
• Must be willing to work rotating weekends (every 7th Saturday), events, and holidays as scheduled

Only members of the Church who are worthy of a temple recommend qualify for employment. Previous custodial experience is welcomed but not required.

Pay

Swing Shift Differential: $18.00/hr + $1.00/hr

Schedule

Location: Bishop's Central Storehouse (BCS) - 5405 W 300 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84105
Shift: Monday - Friday, 5:00pm-9:00pm (20 hours a week)

Location: Global Distribution Services Building (GDS) - 385 S 5200 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84104
Shift: Monday - Friday, 5:30pm-9:30pm (20 hours a week)

This is a part-time position without medical benefits.
