HP Retail Sales Representative

About the role

HP and 2020 Companies have partnered to hire a Part-Time HP Retail Sales Associate at Best Buy 950 in Valley Stream, NY 11581. In this role, you will assist in driving sales and creating buzz and excitement around the HP brand and products in your local big-box retailer(s). You will demonstrate products to customers and tailor demonstrations to their ideal needs, build rapport with customers, and maintain professional relationships with store management and employees.

Pay

$19.00 per hour plus a weekly performance bonus of up to $100 per week based on individual sales performance. Top performers consistently earn bonuses every week. Bonus program is subject to change at the company's discretion.

Schedule

Up to 15 hours per week based on your availability and store needs. Flexible weekday shifts with some weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate HP products at Best Buy stores
• Engage and build rapport with customers by creating a memorable experience
• Maintain professional relationships with management and staff within the assigned store
• Train retail store associates on HP products and services
• Maintain displays for cleanliness, functionality, and demo-readiness
• Report and provide competitive insights
• Sell products and services in a retail store, kiosk, and/or event environments
• Maintain professional interaction with both customers and fellow employees
• Meet or exceed personal sales goals on a monthly basis
• Courteously welcome customers and offer assistance
• Direct customers by escorting them to displays; assess needs and suggest products to fit those needs
• Advise customers by providing information on products and services
• Help customers make selections by building customer confidence
• Accurately document and report sales
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Accurately track and communicate all activity to Retail Operations
• Ensure work station/kiosk is clean, well-organized, functional and presentable at all times
• Submit all paperwork completely and accurately

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Six (6) months prior sales, retail, telecom or marketing experience
• One (1) year job experience required
• Demonstrated knowledge of products and services
• Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to maintain customer confidentiality
• Be a problem-solving, tech-savvy enthusiast
• Have an outgoing personality and be eager to learn
• Be comfortable engaging with customers and demonstrating products with training
• Ability to engage in a selling process that overcomes objections and connects with customer needs
• Retail experience or customer service experience in electronics, tech, or wireless is a plus
