About the role
The Houston office of Morgan Lewis seeks to hire a third-year law student/Fall 2027 entry-level associate for our corporate and business transactions practice. The successful applicant should have a strong interest in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, capital markets, and other corporate transactions, and possess excellent academic credentials as well as strong organization, writing, and analytical skills. The associate would join the firm after completion of law school and sitting for the Texas bar exam.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents related to mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, and other corporate transactions.
- Conduct legal research and provide analysis on complex legal issues.
- Work closely with clients and colleagues to understand their needs and develop solutions.
- Prepare and present legal opinions and advice to clients.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a JD program at an accredited law school.
- Strong academic performance, with a competitive GPA.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passionate about corporate and business transactions.
