Housing Operations Coordinator (Student Development Specialist II)

About the role

The Housing Operations Coordinator for Campus Living & Learning assists the Assistant Director of Housing Operations in overseeing residence hall buildings and spaces. This includes inspections, collaboration with entities for maintenance, and coordination of furniture and equipment purchases.

Responsibilities

• Lives on campus in a Residence Hall Apartment
• Serves on an on-call rotation
• Coordinates inspections, site visits, and meetings regarding maintenance, renovation, and construction projects
• Supervises student staff and provides training, scheduling, performance management, and ongoing development
• Communicates with students, staff, and facilities personnel regarding residential facility concerns and approved housing accommodations
• Takes part in educational programs within the residence halls
• Participates in conduct-related meetings and educational interventions
• Attends and participates in Student Activities events and presents leadership workshops/campus orientations
• Serves on campus committees and advises student groups
• Responds to campus emergencies and works an on-call shift 1-2 weeks and weekends a month

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• One year of experience in student affairs work or related specialty
• Working knowledge of StarRez, Onity, Ving/VisiOnline
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Higher Education/Student Affairs-related field preferred
• Two or more years of experience in Housing and operations or a Student Affairs related field at a professional/graduate level

Pay

$45,000 annually

Schedule

Live-on position with some required weekend/evening responsibilities, responds to campus emergencies, and works an on-call shift 1-2 weeks and weekends a month.
