About the role
Plummer Youth Promise is seeking a compassionate, organized, and proactive Housing Coordinator to support young adults in securing and maintaining safe, stable housing as they transition toward independence.Responsibilities
- Support young adults in identifying and securing safe, stable housing opportunities
- Maintain a caseload of young adults and conduct regular apartment visits
- Aid in apartment searches, scheduling showings, and communicating with landlords, property managers, and realtors
- Provide education on housing applications, tenant rights, budgeting, lease responsibilities, and independent living skills
- Assist with move-ins, move-outs, apartment setup, and housing transitions
- Complete housing safety inspections and maintain housing-related documentation
- Advocate for young adults throughout the housing process
- Build and maintain relationships with landlords, housing authorities, voucher programs, and community partners
- Participate in treatment planning, staff meetings, supervision, and team collaboration
- Provide transportation support as needed
- Participate in rotating emergency on-call coverage
- Assist with simple home maintenance tasks and minor apartment repairs as needed to support safe and stable living environments

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience working with youth, young adults, housing programs, or human services preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License and acceptable driving history required
- Ability to transport youth and travel within the community as needed
