About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform light maintenance duties for all housing units, including ground cleanup, maintaining and installing landscape, painting, furniture moves, and repairs.
  • Maintain inside and outside of all housing units in good and livable conditions.
  • Grounds cleanup, maintaining and installing landscape, painting inside and outside of houses/apartments/condos, furniture moves, and repairs.
  • Replace all batteries in thermostats, facets, toilets, and other devices.
  • Maintain designated fleet vehicle to Terros Standard.
  • Complete safety inspections using a checklist, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
  • Perform routine inspections of fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and other related items.
  • Coordinate HVAC repairs with vendors.
  • Monitor and inspect fire extinguishers and coordinate repairs.
  • Replace electrical cords as needed and ensure replacement cords are working properly; initiate vendor procurement for complex installations and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor and check site trash collection and disposal; repair and replace containers with the City of Phoenix.
  • Assist Facilities Housing Tech II with tasks.
  • Assist Commercial/Residential Facilities Manager in office moves and other projects.
  • Clean, stock, and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc.).
  • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
  • This position will be assigned to a rotating on-call schedule.
