Technician Facilities

About the role

Cleaners at First Student help keep our facilities clean, safe, and ready to support daily operations. This position is responsible for basic cleaning and upkeep tasks, including cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, and removing trash.

Responsibilities

• Clean bathrooms and restock supplies as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout assigned areas.
• Remove trash and replace liners as needed.
• Keep common areas clean, organized, and presentable.
• Perform basic facility cleaning and upkeep tasks as assigned.
• Follow all company safety procedures while performing cleaning duties.
• Report any maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns to management.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous cleaning, janitorial, or facility upkeep experience is preferred, but not required.
• The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while following direction from management.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed inside the facility and may include some outdoor areas as needed.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, sweep, mop, lift trash bags, and perform routine cleaning duties.
• May be exposed to cleaning supplies, wet floors, dust, trash, and normal facility conditions.
• Must be able to safely use basic cleaning tools and supplies.
