Housing Facilities Tech I

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance duties as assigned
  • Maintain inside and outside of all housing units to ensure good and livable conditions
  • Grounds cleanup, maintaining and installing landscape, painting inside and outside of houses/apartments/condos, furniture moves, and repairs
  • Replaces all batteries in Thermostats, Facets, Toilets and other devices
  • Maintain their designated fleet vehicle to Terros Standard
  • Completes safety inspections, using a checklist which includes identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions
  • Performs routine inspections of fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and other related items
  • Coordinates HVAC repairs with vendors
  • Monitors and inspects fire extinguishers and coordinates repairs
  • Replace electrical cords as needed and ensure that replacement cords are working properly. If necessary, initiate vendor procurement for more complicated installation and troubleshooting
  • Monitor and check site trash collection and disposal, repair and replace containers with the City of Phoenix
  • Assist Facilities Housing Tech II with tasks
  • Assist Commercial/Residential Facilities manager in office moves and other projects
  • Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
  • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license
  • Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license
  • Must maintain their designated fleet vehicle to Terros Standard
