Housing Coordinator - Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS)

About the role

The Housing Coordinator is a member of Riverside’s ACCS Integrated Teams, which provide clinical interventions, peer and family support to facilitate engagement, support functioning, and maximize symptom stabilization and self-management. As part of the Persons’ Team, the Housing Coordinator has primary responsibility for supporting individuals in attaining and keeping stable, secure housing.

Responsibilities

• Provide education for staff and persons using ACCS services about tenancy issues, housing rights, and resources
• Assist persons served with applying for and attaining housing subsidies
• Work with persons served to secure housing that meets their needs
• Guide persons served in learning the skills necessary to maintain community housing
• Serve as a single point of contact for developing relationships with landlords, housing authorities, and DMH Area housing staff to foster communication and provide advocacy

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language and ability to present effectively to the public
• Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and willingness to transport persons served in a personal vehicle as needed
• High school diploma and minimum of 2 years related experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Housing advocacy experience preferred
