Housing Access Coordinator

About the role

The Housing Access Coordinator will work closely with the Housing Services team to provide support and resources to individuals and families experiencing housing instability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outreach efforts to identify and connect clients with available housing resources.
• Assist clients in navigating the housing application process and providing guidance on eligibility requirements.
• Provide emotional support and advocacy to clients facing housing challenges.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local housing providers and community organizations.
• Conduct regular assessments to ensure clients are making progress towards stable housing.
• Document client interactions and progress in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, public policy, etc.) or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• Experience with housing assistance programs such as Section 8, HUD, or other government-funded housing initiatives.
• Knowledge of local housing policies and regulations.
• Understanding of the impact of housing instability on mental health and overall well-being.

Pay

Salary range: $30,000 - $40,000 annually.

Schedule

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
