About the role

The Houseperson is an all-purpose position that assists the housekeeping department by maintaining the cleanliness of all guest rooms and common areas.

Responsibilities

• Deep clean rooms as needed
• Deliver clean linen and supplies to housekeepers when needed
• Remove soiled linen and trash from housekeepers when needed
• Load supplies for the day
• Attend line-up each morning to receive room assignments
• Restock all housekeeping closets on the property with amenities and linens as necessary
• Maintain golf carts—clean them at the end of the shift and plug them into the charger for the next shift
• Keep all pantry items in guest rooms stocked and account for all pantry alcohol sales
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance
• Work well with other team members, managers, and interact with guests

Requirements

• Some cleaning experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team members
• Basic knowledge and understanding of math
• Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and company goals
• Must be able to stand all day
• Very physical work—constantly moving, lifting, and able to get on hands and knees to clean
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
• Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart
• Must be able to work around cleaning supplies/chemicals
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions

Pay

$15.00–$16.00 an hour
