About the role
We are looking for a Team Leader to lead our Housekeeping team and ensure high-quality, welcoming spaces where students can thrive. As a Housekeeping Team Leader, you will join our high-performing housekeeping team within the busy Estates Department at Canterbury College. You will have a positive attitude, with the ability to motivate and lead a team of housekeepers while maintaining high levels of cleanliness and hygiene. You will also be able to perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including the use of machinery widely used in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of housekeepers
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Perform a range of cleaning tasks, including operating cleaning machinery
Schedule
15 hours per week, working 05:30 to 08:30 across Monday to Friday.
Pay
£11,598 per annum.

Requirements
- Previous experience of team leadership and cleaning in a commercial environment
- Ability to learn quickly and maintain high standards of work
- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths or willingness to work towards these (the College will support with such qualifications)
- A health and safety certificate would be beneficial but not essential as training is provided
