About the Role
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pool, and other spaces after cleaning to ensure quality standards are met. Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritize cleaning tasks, and update the status of departing guest rooms. Act as a liaison to coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry. Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms alongside the Front Desk. Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments, and ensure continuity by reporting issues to the next shift. Complete required paperwork and assist Housekeeping management in daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
- Follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with others; develop and maintain positive working relationships; listen and respond appropriately to concerns.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Perform physical tasks including moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects up to 55 pounds (or more with assistance); push and pull loaded housekeeping carts and machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
- Perform movements such as reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods across an entire work shift.
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Use computers and point-of-sale systems to enter and locate work-related information; read and visually verify information in various formats (e.g., small print).
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related work experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
Pay
$32.11 per hour.
