Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring a safe work environment, exceptional cleanliness standards, and outstanding guest service. Work closely with the Executive Housekeeper to maximize guest satisfaction, protect hotel assets, and support efficient departmental operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, motivate, coach, and support the housekeeping team to ensure exceptional performance and productivity.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and turndown service to ensure hotel cleanliness and brand standards are consistently met.
- Assign daily work schedules, communicate priorities, and coordinate special guest requests to ensure seamless operations.
- Issue and monitor housekeeping supplies and equipment while maintaining inventory control and minimizing waste.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and service recovery opportunities.
- Maintain accurate Lost & Found records and assist guests with inquiries regarding misplaced items.
- Support emergency preparedness by implementing safety procedures and ensuring team compliance with hotel policies.
- Promote a safe, positive, and respectful work environment while adhering to all health, sanitation, and safety standards.
- Maintain reliable attendance and flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as business demands.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the housekeeping department and overall hotel operations.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality.
- Ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members.
- Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Basic computer and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout an entire shift.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
