Housekeeping Supervisor-03 PT – 6835

Responsibilities

• Supervises the Guest House Attendants and leads to include assigning and distributing work, observing work progress, production, adherence to quality and safety standards, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees.
• Approves and disapproves leave, recommends personnel actions, provides input on performance reviews, and approves time & attendance.
• Trains employees and recommends awards and discipline as necessary.
• Interviews applicants and makes selections of new employees.

Qualifications

• Must meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Must possess prior work experience that provided the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties listed above to include the ability to use and maintain the tools and equipment of the trade, to keep the assigned work area neat and clean, and to communicate both orally and in writing.
• Preferred (in addition to the minimum): Responsible work experience in the hospitality industry that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties stated above with minimal supervision. Previous supervisory or leadership experience.

Physical Demands

• Exerts moderately heavy physical effort in controlling heavy equipment, carrying, setting, and working on ladders and scaffolds.
• Prolonged standing, stooping, bending, kneeling and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
• Lifts and carries supplies and materials. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs. with assistance.

Working Conditions

• The majority of work is performed indoors, in areas, which normally have adequate heat, light, and ventilation.
• Exposed to dirt and disagreeable odors.
