The Housekeeping Supervisor

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms and public areas. They may also assist in cleaning rooms when needed. Key responsibilities include:

  • Accommodate every guest's reasonable needs and requests with a courteous and pleasant response.
  • Ensure rooms are guest-ready before being released to the front desk.
  • Clean guest rooms and public areas, reporting deficiencies and malfunctions to maintenance.
  • Make beds, pick up trash, vacuum, empty trash cans, and ensure proper cleaning and disinfection of bathrooms.
  • Ensure proper stock of amenities and arrange furniture.
  • Report vacant and clean rooms to the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Report any discrepancies in furniture, equipment, and room conditions.
  • Provide security and assistance as needed.

This position focuses on promoting internal growth programs and exemplifying the company's culture. It requires meeting/exceeding company goals and adhering to training, SOPs, and brand standards. Additional duties include providing assistance to guests, associates, and other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring proper cleaning and disinfection of bathrooms, arranging furniture, and stocking amenities.
  • Reporting vacant and clean rooms to the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Reporting any discrepancies in furniture, equipment, and room conditions.
  • Providing security and assistance as needed.

Requirements

  • Have knowledge of fire alarm systems and evacuation procedures.
  • Be able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person.
  • Be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Be able to work in a restricted space and for extended periods.
  • Have the physical abilities to perform the job requirements.
  • Have the necessary vision and hearing ability.
  • Have the ability to operate equipment and write.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in housekeeping or related field.
  • Knowledge of fire alarm systems and evacuation procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical stamina and flexibility.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Pay
