Housekeeping Manager - Glorieta Adventure Camps

Key Responsibilities

• Hire and train full-time staff to grow the Housekeeping team
• Take chief responsibility for the inventory, ordering, and management of all cleaning supplies and linens for guest rooms and meeting rooms
• Keep the SDS for housekeeping all chemicals updated
• Keep cleaning and servicing checklists updated and make cleaning assignments
• Clock in and out team shifts, conduct team 1:1s, and coordinate summer staff training
• Schedule maintenance repairs and pest control for inside the buildings
• Coordinate linen pickup/drop off and the creation and update of the Housekeeping App
• Manage the laundry room and coordinate with outside services
• Budget forecasting and managing spending through Expensify and Bill.com
• Collect and document bids for outside services

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate well with team members, staff, and guests
• Ability to manage peers, full-time staff, and summer staff in a positive and respectful way
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, typing, basic math, basic computer functions, organization, and be detail-oriented
• A strong desire to learn new things quickly
• A strong sense of self-motivation
• A personal relationship with Christ that permeates all aspects of his/her life
• Previous experience in any of the duties listed is preferred
• A good work ethic
• Willingness to perform routine tasks regularly and on time, with deadlines weekly and monthly for most tasks
• A natural ability or strong desire for organization
• Willingness to perform many tasks alone
• An eye for things that need done and how to make them more excellent
• A passion for cleaning, problem-solving, fixing things, making things beautiful, leading by serving, and stewardship

Compensation and Benefits

• Compensation starts at $17.00/hour with overtime pay
• On-site housing with utilities and appliances included
• Medical coverage through CHM, employer-funded HRA, and pharmacy benefit plan - 100% paid by employer for employee and spouse
• PTO - base amount of 20 days annually, sick leave, and volunteer time off
• Retirement - After 1 year of employment, employer contributes 4% NEC and up to 4% matched
• Camp program and retail discounts, including a free session of camp annually, friends and family lodging options and use of camp facilities for personal gatherings
