Housekeeping/EVS Tech - Per Diem - Nights - San Diego

About the role

This is a Casual (Per Diem) position located at our Scripps Mercy Campus in Hillcrest. Must be available to work a Night shift including 10:00pm-6:30am and a varied schedule including weekends. This position will assist in providing coverage for PTO, LOA, and additional departmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing coverage for PTO, LOA, and additional departmental needs.
• Supports environmental care: patient care area cleaning, non-patient care area cleaning, linen service, waste removal, sharps container removal, meeting/event set-up/breakdown, and infection control/sanitation.
• Works under the guidance and support of a supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission, Title XXII, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Displays and practices a work style that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of the organization.

Requirements

• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• 6 months Housekeeping experience in Health Care or Hospitality (preferred).
• Extensive customer service experience and a desire to provide the highest quality of service (preferred).

Pay

In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health posts the pay range for all jobs. Actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience and internal equity within the pay range. Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state.
