Housekeeping/EVS Tech - Evenings - Chula Vista
Located less than 10 miles from the US-Mexico border, the Chula Vista campus of Scripps Mercy serves the cities of Chula Vista, Otay Mesa, National City, Imperial Beach, Bonita and beyond. Scripps Mercy Hospital consists of two campuses in San Diego and Chula Vista, providing a variety of medical and surgical services, including inpatient and outpatient care. Within the hospital you’ll find a 24-hour emergency room and many specialty services ranging from cancer care to stroke care.
About the role
This is a full-time (64 hours every two weeks) position located at our Scripps Mercy campus in Chula Vista. The housekeeping team performs job functions to support environmental care, including:
- Patient care area cleaning
- Non-patient care area cleaning
- Linen service
- Waste removal
- Sharps container removal
- Meeting/event set-up and breakdown
- Infection control and sanitation
Follows established policies and practices to ensure compliance with the Joint Commission, Title XXII, and other applicable regulatory requirements. Displays and practices a work style that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of the organization.
Schedule
Must be available to work an Evening shift of 2:00pm–10:30pm and a varied schedule including weekends.
Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 months of housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality
- Extensive customer service experience
- Desire to provide the highest quality of service

$25.00–$29.29/hour
