Housekeeping/EVS Tech - Per Diem - San Diego

About the role

This is a Casual (Per Diem) position located at our Scripps Mercy Campus in Hillcrest. Must be available to work a Day shift including (6:00am-2:30pm and 8:00am-4:30pm) and a varied schedule including weekends. This position will assist in providing coverage for PTO, LOA, and additional departmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing coverage for PTO, LOA, and additional departmental needs.
• Supports environmental care by performing job functions such as patient care area cleaning, non-patient care area cleaning, linen service, waste removal, sharps container removal, meeting/event set-up/breakdown, and infection control/sanitation.
• Works under the guidance and support of a supervisor.
• Fulfills responsibilities in accordance with established policies and practices to ensure compliance with the Joint Commission, Title XXII, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Displays and practices a work style that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of the organization.

Requirements

• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• 6 months Housekeeping experience in Health Care or Hospitality (preferred).
• Extensive customer service experience and a desire to provide the highest quality of service (preferred).
