Housekeeping Dispatcher

About the role

Responsible for answering all incoming calls regarding room status and guests’ requests.

Responsibilities

• Process proper telephone and 2-way radio etiquette and prioritize multiple tasks at once
• Work closely with Room Inventory clerks and dispatch errands per guest requests
• Coordinate and assign rooms for cleaning and continuously monitor and update room status
• Assist with receiving and distributing found property from hotel guestrooms, including logging entries into logbook and storing found property
• Verify room status, update departing rooms, and record "Do Not Disturb" rooms
• Schedule staff based on occupancy levels and PTOs
• Communicate with front office and floor managers to verify room status
• Coordinate efforts of housekeeping, engineering, front office, and laundry
• Review Occupancy Forecast twice daily
• Maintain files of housekeeping assignments and keep Dispatch area organized and sanitized
• Delegate guest requests to supervisors, inspectors, and management based on priority
• Maintain Employee Call Out Log and ensure pass down is completed for shift change
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED
• Casino/Hotel experience preferred
• Experience within an upscale hotel preferred
• Minimum 6 months’ experience required
• Prior experience as a Room Attendant preferred but not required
• Schedule flexibility, including evenings, weekends, holiday shifts, and overtime
• Ability to plan, organize, and complete work independently
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to get along with co-workers
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English
• Previous computer and customer service experience preferred

Pay

$17.25 per hour
