Housekeeping/Custodial Worker - Annex
Housekeeping/Custodial Workers have the integral role and basic function of caring for and cleaning the Griffin Memorial Hospital- Annex location. Positions in this job family are assigned routine work involving sweeping, mopping, dusting, disposing of trash, and other simple cleaning duties in a 24-hour, 30-bed inpatient facility. Training will be provided in completing more advanced tasks, such as the disposal of restricted or environmentally hazardous materials. Housekeepers/Custodial Workers may also have responsibilities involving the disposal of hazardous materials or other restricted items.
Responsibilities
- Sweeping, mopping, and dusting
- Disposing of trash
- Performing other simple cleaning duties
- Disposing of restricted or environmentally hazardous materials (training provided)
- Disposing of hazardous materials or other restricted items
- Covering shifts at Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman, OK may be required due to staffing needs
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed for job-related duties
- Must pass pre-employment and pre-placement drug and alcohol screening due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position
Qualifications
- Level II: One year experience in building or institutional custodial work or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Level I: No experience required
Pay
- Level II: $14.66/hour
- Level I: $13.70/hour
Schedule
- Full time, Non-Exempt
- Monday – Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- May be required to work weekends and overtime depending on business necessity

About Us
Griffin Memorial Hospital Annex (GMH Annex) is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on the site of the former Hillcrest Hospital. This 30-bed facility provides compassionate, recovery-focused care for individuals who are pretrial defendants found incompetent to stand trial, as well as those adjudicated Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI) or Not Guilty by Reason of Mental Illness (NGRMI). The GMH Annex is dedicated to helping each person achieve stability, restore competency, and successfully transition to the next stage of their recovery journey.
Interview and initial training will be conducted at GMH in Norman, Oklahoma.
