Housekeeping/Custodial Worker

About the Position

The Children’s Recovery Center in Norman, OK is looking for a Housekeeping/Custodial Worker to play a vital role in caring for and cleaning our inpatient facility. In this position, team members are responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disposing of trash throughout the facility. This role may also include the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials or other restricted items, ensuring all areas meet established health and safety standards.

Requirements

• Level I: No experience required.
• Level II: 6 months experience in building or institutional custodial work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Upon a conditional offer, submit to a physical examination and meet requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 40 pounds and able to push/pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
• Willing and able to fulfill job-related travel; must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be 21 years of age or older (DHS requirement).
• Upon a conditional offer for safety‑sensitive positions, submit to urinalysis drug test; appointment contingent on a negative result.

Pay

• Housekeeping I: $13.70 per hour – $28,500 per year.
• Housekeeping II: $14.66 per hour – $30,500 per year.
• Position is non‑exempt.

Schedule

Coverage required 24 hours, 7 days per week; work hours and location may vary depending on business necessity. Employees may be required to work weekends and overtime.
