Housekeeping/Custodial Worker

Housekeeping/Custodial Workers have the integral role and basic function of caring for and cleaning Griffin Memorial Hospital, a 24-hour, 120-bed inpatient facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disposing of trash
• Complete advanced tasks including disposal of restricted or environmentally hazardous materials (training provided)
• Dispose of hazardous materials or other restricted items

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed for job-related duties
• Must pass pre-employment and pre-placement drug and alcohol screening due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position

Qualifications

• Level II: One year experience in building or institutional custodial work or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Level I: No experience required

Pay

• Level II: $14.66/hour
• Level I: $13.70/hour

Schedule

• Full time, non-exempt
• Monday – Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Weekend and overtime work may be required based on operational needs
• This facility operates 24/7; work hours, shifts, and locations may vary
