Housekeeping/Custodial Worker - Annex
About the role
Housekeeping/Custodial Workers play an integral role in caring for and cleaning the Griffin Memorial Hospital-Annex location, a 24-hour, 30-bed inpatient facility. Positions involve routine tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disposing of trash, along with training for more advanced duties like handling restricted or environmentally hazardous materials. Workers may also be responsible for disposing of hazardous or other restricted items.
Covering shifts at Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman, OK may be required due to staffing needs. Interviews and initial training will be conducted at GMH in Norman, Oklahoma.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash disposal.
- Complete advanced tasks such as disposal of restricted or environmentally hazardous materials.
- Dispose of hazardous materials or other restricted items as required.
- Cover shifts at Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman, OK, as needed.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for job-related duties.
- Must pass pre-employment and pre-placement drug and alcohol screening due to the safety-sensitive nature of the position.
- Level II: One year of experience in building or institutional custodial work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Level I: No experience required.
Pay
- Level II: $14.66/hour
- Level I: $13.70/hour
Schedule
- Full-time, non-exempt position.
- Monday – Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- May require working weekends and overtime depending on business necessity.

Griffin Memorial Hospital Annex (GMH Annex) is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on the site of the former Hillcrest Hospital. This 30-bed facility provides compassionate, recovery-focused care for individuals who are pretrial defendants found incompetent to stand trial, as well as those adjudicated Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI) or Not Guilty by Reason of Mental Illness (NGRMI). The GMH Annex is dedicated to helping each person achieve stability, restore competency, and successfully transition to the next stage of their recovery journey.
