Richmond Villages Wood Norton provides luxury retirement living with personalized care that promotes independence and honours individual choice. The housekeeping assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of the community.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that care home facilities, public areas, and individual properties are maintained to the highest cleaning standards.
- Operate vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and carpet shampooers.
- Regularly empty bins and perform sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing of floors.
- Clean carpets and upholstery and wash woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
- Wash, dry, and iron residents' clothing, bedding, and communal laundry, including for on-site care home residents.
- Report all safety hazards to management and ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards and COSHH regulations.
Requirements
- Experience from a housekeeping or domestic cleaning role.
- A basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards.
- A friendly and approachable demeanor to forge professional relationships with colleagues, residents, and their families.
- A meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to a safe working environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Qualifications
You will ideally bring experience from a housekeeping or domestic cleaning role, along with a basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards. A friendly and approachable personality is also essential.

Pay
£12.40 per hour - Paid breaks.
Schedule
We make health happen by being flexible. Shifts can start as early as 07:00 with notice and additional hours may be required for holiday and sickness cover.
