Housekeeper Full Time

The Neighborhoods of White Lake, a member of Trinity Health Senior Communities (THSC), is seeking a Housekeeper for its community in White Lake, MI. THSC is one of the nation’s largest multi-institutional Catholic health care delivery systems, with over 40 communities in multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Ensure assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, sanitary, and attractive manner
• Maintain established infection control and universal precautions practices when performing environmental services procedures
• Ensure adequate supplies are available and maintained to perform daily tasks
• Clean and properly store equipment and supplies at the end of the shift
• Report and address extinguished or malfunctioning lights (e.g., exit lights, overhead lights, room call lights)
• Change and install light bulbs as needed
• Clean and polish the community, including windows, mirrors, walls, ceilings, furnishings, fixtures, ledges, and room heating/cooling units
• Perform floor care: sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting daily
• Complete deep, thorough cleaning of entire rooms as needed, including prior to admission or after discharge

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred
