Housekeeper/Custodian
Position Summary
The Housekeeper cleans residences; condominiums; studio apartments; Health Center rooms and common areas. Duties may include working outside in the heat/cold/rain and transferring between buildings. Cleaning duties also include sanitizing Health Center rooms after a move-out or prior to a move-in, maintaining dining areas, and cleaning assigned work areas.
Essential Job Functions
- Clean homes, condominiums, studio apartments, health center rooms and common areas.
- Sanitize Health Center rooms after a move-out or prior to a move-in.
- Maintain dining areas cleaned and sanitized (at least twice daily).
- Clean assigned work areas daily (dusting, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming).
- Remove garbage including biohazards removal (by contracted vendor) from assigned areas.
- Perform cleaning duties/functions as contracted by independent residents.
Essential Qualifications
- A high school education or equivalent and up to one month related experience or training.
- Experience and basic knowledge: Working with older adults in a healthcare setting is desirable, preferably a minimum of 6 months.
