About the role

The team at the Veterans' Home of Wyoming cottages (Skilled Nursing Facility) is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join the housekeeping team. This role involves maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and restocks resident rooms
• Cleans and disinfects all public areas, including carpets, handrails, doors, windows, trash cans, and light fixtures
• Cleans bathrooms
• Gathers trash
• Determines appropriate chemical solutions for cleaning and disinfection
• Affixes linens, cleaning supplies, and trash bags to cottages
• Schedules, comprehensively cleans dining room area

Qualifications

• PREFERENCES: Preference may be given to applicants with a minimum of 6 months of long-term care experience.
• KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of cleaning methods and practices, cleansers, supplies, and equipment, basic math, state and facility policies and procedures, universal precautions, emergency procedures, cleaning methods, materials, and equipment, infection control standards.
• EDUCATION: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma.
• EXPERIENCE: 0-6 months of progressive work experience (typically in Housekeeping).
