About the role

The House Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who assumes administrative responsibility for the management of all department service functions on his/her shift. This position requires frequent rounds throughout the facility to monitor the delivery of care, oversee the quality of services, and direct patient care activities as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Makes frequent rounds throughout facility to monitor the delivery of care, oversee the quality of services and direct patient care activities as needed.
  • Directs and supports all staff house-wide.
  • Extends administrative scope and responsibility to all services within the hospital in the absence of the Hospital Administrative staff.
  • Ensures efficient operations and patient flow throughout the hospital.
  • Performs direct patient care, only as needed, within the scope of practice and competence.
  • Ensures all temporary agency personnel are deployed and oriented in compliance with hospital policy.
  • Aids medical staff with scheduling after-hour procedures and calling in stand-by call staff members.
  • Enhances the patient/family experience through supportive interactions and explanations of hospital policies as needed.

Requirements

  • Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • One (1) year prior experience as a Supervisor preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years acute care nursing experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Qualifications

  • Education: Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience: One (1) year prior experience as a Supervisor preferred. Minimum of three (3) years acute care nursing experience.
  • Training: Current BLS and ACLS certificates.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $48.00 to $48.00.

Schedule

Per Diem positions available.
