A House of Blues Banquet Server makes our private events stand out from the competition through individual attention to detail, creativity, and a personal desire to create memorable events consistently at House of Blues Dallas.

Responsibilities

• Oversee set-up, maintenance, and break down of events
• Attend pre-shifts and follow event-specific instructions
• Run food, tray pass food or beverage items, and bus tables
• Provide professional service while maintaining a consistent professional appearance

Requirements

• Flexible, on-call schedule with varying hours
• Working knowledge of basic food service and responsible alcohol service
• Familiarity with drink recipes, garnishes, and point-of-sale systems
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team atmosphere
• Valid alcohol awareness certification or ability to obtain one
• Acceptance of all cultures, music, and art forms

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous banquet experience
• Serving experience in the hotel and/or hospitality industry
• Cash handling experience
• Experience recognizing valid IDs
• Experience in a live music environment

Physical Demands

• Fast-paced, often loud, and stressful working environment
• Extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
• Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
