House Manager
About the role
As House Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel’s front-of-house, enhancing guest experiences, and driving revenue growth. You’ll oversee daily operations and respond promptly to guest needs. Your leadership will coordinate Reception, Treatments, Grounds, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Night Porters to deliver exceptional service. This is a hands-on operational role requiring composure under pressure, strong decision-making, and attention to detail. Clear communication and organization will be essential as you lead the team to create memorable guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily front-of-house operations and respond promptly to guest needs
- Coordinate Reception, Treatments, Grounds, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Night Porters to deliver exceptional service
- Serve as first point of contact for guest and staff queries
- Handle Duty Manager shifts and emergency situations with confidence
- Report to the Hotel Director and Deputy General Manager
Requirements
- At least three years’ experience in hospitality management
- Solid knowledge of guest relations and F&B operations
- Experience with OPERA or Fidelio systems (preferred)
- Composure under pressure, strong decision-making, and attention to detail
- Clear communication and organizational skills
- Confidence in handling Duty Manager shifts and emergency situations
Development
The role offers clear progression to Deputy General Manager and Hotel Director. Full training and induction across all hotel areas will be provided. As part of a growing group, this role suits a driven professional eager to take on new challenges and develop within the company.
Pay and benefits
Pay: £38,500 - £42,500 per annum (OTE £44,100 - £48,100 per annum)
Hours: 45 hours per week, including weekends
