House Manager

About the role

House Manager staff are team leaders and members of teams responsible for the care and instruction of individuals living in community residential homes in accordance with state, federal, and Agency guidelines. They oversee the day-to-day operations and management of the home, contributing to a safe, healthy emotional and physical environment for individuals. House Managers follow established programs and interact with each individual in a manner consistent with normalization principles, ensuring experiences are as typical as those of any other person living in the community. They assist individuals, family members, and others with concern and empathy, respecting confidentiality and privacy while communicating courteously and reinforcing Lakeshore's Mission and agency expectations.

Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a residential program for individuals with intellectual disabilities and possibly behavior problems.
• Coordinate efforts with an interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Supervise approximately six to eight DSP I & II level staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with less than two years of employment experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Associate's degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and at least two but less than four years of work experience with intellectual disabilities.
• High School diploma or equivalent education and three years of work experience with intellectual disabilities, including supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisory experience.
• Experience with mentally, emotionally ill, and/or behaviorally challenged individuals or autism.
• Counseling education and/or experience.
• Teaching and/or other experience in the field of education.
• Nursing, nurse's aide, or other experience in the field of health care.

Pay

$24.02 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week with some on-call and weekend commitments.
