House Account Specialist
About the role
We are hiring a House Account Specialist in Halethorpe, MD. The position is open in Halethorpe, MD - Commerce - Retail shop, Dundalk, MD - Filling industrial, and Hyattsville, MD - Retail shop.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate Trust & Deepen Partnerships: Nurture and elevate existing customer relationships within your assigned territory through warm, consultative outreach—combining intentional in-person travel with consistent phone contact.
- Collaborative Problem Solving: Listen deeply to client concerns and build thoughtful solutions to address customer complaints. You will act as an advocate for the customer, collaborating with internal teams to make meaningful recommendations to management.
- Empowered Solution Design: Prepare comprehensive sales proposals by aligning pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules to perfectly match your customer's operational needs.
- Market Intelligence & Advocacy: Stay attuned to the marketplace by gathering insights on product trends and merchandising techniques, ensuring our clients always have access to the best options available.
- Team & Operational Support: Maintain a structured approach to your week by sharing work plans with your District Manager (DM), and occasionally support your team by assisting with counter sales in a back-up capacity.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 year of prior outside sales/service experience.
- Excellent organizational, written and oral communication, listening and presentation skills.
- Self-starter; self-motivated, operates with a sense of urgency; ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational, analytical and planning skills.
- Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with industrial and specialty gases, industrial gas / welding supply sales.
- A detailed understanding of Google, or MS Office Applications, SAP functionalities.
- The ability to communicate clearly and warmly with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds.
